Marktbreit - Gatehouse at the town hall 2016
Franconie

Marktbreit is located in the Lower Franconian district of Kitzingen. The small winding old town is a popular destination for tourists. Its most famous attraction is probably the Maintor am Rathaus. The building was constructed from 1579 to 1581. At the corner of the building, as well as at the gable peak, rises as a landmark, the statue of St George. The George statue on the gable was the symbol of customs law for the Main Navigation. The statue at the town hall corner symbolized the market conformity.
